Black Forest / Wilderness Valley

Black Lake Golf Club
Black Lake Golf Club is an 18-hole facility cut from a 1,000-acre forest retreat owned by the United Auto Workers. Rees Jones, the nationally respected architect, handled all design work. Holes mesh seamlessly with the surrounding terrain and dense tree lines. Black Lake Golf Club was awarded 2nd place for “Best New Upscale Public Facility” and voted the top rated public course in Michigan by Golf Digest in 2000. Deer Run / Lakes of the North
The headwaters of the Manistee River form a beautiful backdrop for Deer Run, an 18-hole championship golf course. Ostego County Fairgrounds Snocross

Snowmobiling
Located in the center of Northern Lower Michigan's Snow Belt, the Gaylord area averages over 180 inches of the white stuff annually. Surrounded by rolling hills, thousand of acres of unspoiled forests and numerous winter activities, Gaylord is quickly emerging as a preferred winter destination. The newest trail from Gaylord to Indian River is being touted the crown jewel of snowmobile trails in northern Michigan. The trail runs along an abandoned railroad corridor, crosses the Sturgeon River and winds through some of the most spectacular scenery in northern Michigan. The Loon
On January 8th Mike Husby, a thirty-year veteran in "Northern Michigan Golf" and a small group of investors purchased back The Loon Golf Club from the Otsego Club. Many great things are already in the works. All sand traps throughout the golf course have been renovated, permanent restrooms have been constructed on the golf course, new electric golf carts are available and the original pro shop on the lower level is being restored. The Natural
Renowned for designing courses that reflect the environment's natural beauty, Jerry Mathew's designed The Natural at Beaver Creek Resort. The Natural at Beaver Creek winds through elevated forested terrain around some of the most scenic wetlands found in Northern Michigan.
