Tahquamenon Falls State Park
Tahquamenon Falls State Park is 12 mi. w. on SR 123. The 46,000-acre park includes two waterfalls on the Tahquamenon River. The Upper Falls are nearly 50 feet high and 200 feet wide at the crest. Tahquamenon Logging Museum
Tahquamenon Logging Museum is 1 mi. n. on SR 123. The complex, situated on 29 acres, includes a museum with logging memorabilia, a horse-drawn steam engine, a one-room schoolhouse, a memorial to the Depression-era CCC program, a bunkhouse, a cook shack and a log cabin from the late 19th century. Toonerville Trolley and Riverboat Tour to Tahquamenon Falls
Toonerville Trolley and Riverboat Tour to Tahquamenon Falls is 2 mi. n. of SR 28 to the end of CR 381. Tour 1 is a 6.5-hour narrow-gauge train trip and riverboat ride to the Tahquamenon River. Whitefish Point Light Station
Whitefish Point Light Station is at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at jct. SR 123 and Whitefish Point Rd. The restored light station began operation in 1849 and is the oldest working lighthouse on Lake Superior. Overlooking the graveyard of the Great Lakes, it marks the critical turning point for all ships leaving and entering Lake Superior.
